Imagine having a pool of outstanding, diverse individuals with shared values, that you could access for learning, sharing, networking and support around business coaching and leadership development? What could we accomplish as such a group of people? And what could fuel our purpose?
These were just a few of the questions we asked ourselves after holding a one-off, successful coaching demonstration event, a so-called “Fishbowl”, in Munich in 2018. What we knew at that point was twofold: We were all leaders, business owners or entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds with a common belief in the power of business coaching. And, we were all graduates of a UK-based Business Coaching Program living in Germany.
Energised by that first event and curious to find out our “what else”, further meet-ups followed across Germany to dive deeper into our questions. We were able to quickly co-shape something tangible, catalysed by our strong conviction for a common cause and vision. From the very start, everyone present felt both electrified and united by that particular “spirit” that makes our coaching community so special! The result was the Meyler Campbell Germany Chapter.
As a chapter, our goal is to promote cutting edge business coaching and leadership development in Germany. Our post-industrial world constantly challenges us as people to think about a meaningful living, solving increasingly complex problems. We as a Chapter believe exceptional business coaching and leadership development is key in helping people to develop their capacity to think about these problems in new and creative ways so that they can accomplish their (ultimate) goals.
Our Chapter is not a business platform, but rather a network of alumni living in Germany. We meet regularly to discuss, share, learn and to grow as professionals and human beings. As exceptionally trained business coaches, we know the extraordinary potential that exists when humans get together to listen to another, share knowledge, experiences and ideas.
We are continuously aligning on strategic developments and needs, identifying international coaching and leadership development trends and how we can apply them to our German market. Next to our own professional networks, having access to the vast, global alumni network is an important factor in this.
As part of our support towards one another, our chapter practices peer coaching and supervision, also making referrals within our own professional networks. By adhering to the values of our Alma Mater, we ensure our members are continuously developing themselves and, for business coaching, are being professionally supervised, thereby keeping our standards and values high.
Excellent business coaching and leadership development is key in building and sustaining great organizations, making extraordinary workplaces more human-centred, more positive and a much better place to be – and this is where our expertise is definitely making a difference in the German market.
